Entrans AB hires new CEO
Entrans has recruited Johan Hellqvist as their new CEO.

Entrans has hired Johan Hellqvist as the new Chief Executive Officer. He will be responsible for business development, financing and marketing, effective from 1 August 2011. The recruitment is part of Entrans' strategy to strengthen its business and sales organization to meet a clear demand in the market ready for rapid growth. Hellqvist will operate simultaneously as a new partner in Entrans. Hellqvist has worked in senior positions in technology-based companies since the late 1990s and the most recent position as CEO of cleantech startup company Solarus AB. Hellqvist has also founded a fabless semiconductor company, Xelerated, a profitable company with annual revenue of 30 MUSD with offices in Sweden, USA, China and Israel. He has previously worked with other fast-growing technology companies, from startup to successful international expansion, which will be of great value to Entrans. He also has extensive contacts in the cleantech industry and the financial sphere in Scandinavia and Europe.
"To hire a person with such rich experience in the technology business, we see that as hitting a jack pot! Johan's extensive network of contacts and previous experience with other fastest growing companies gives us the opportunity to quickly increase our sales," says Entrans Chairman Leif Erlandsson.
Entrans' market strategy is to become the leading supplier of systems for energy recovery from waste heat and offer them to customers in areas such as industrial, real estate and maritime industries. Energy recovery from waste heat is predicted by industry participants and analysts to experience significant growth in coming years.
"I have so far observed, but with considerable interest, Entrans development. To now have the chance to be part of the company's continued growth as the products have shown such good performance, while I know that the market for these products will increase substantially over the next few years, are a strong driving force for me," says Johan Hellqvist. "Entrans has the products that enable customers to make money on worthless heat. It's a bit like alchemy .... though it works," he concludes.
